Alan is the ‘old man’ of the team – 46 years with the Society, a Trowbridge local, and no sign of that stopping as he still loves coming to work! His current role is to provide service to existing Holloway members, give advice and support to those wanting to start new plans. His motivation is to know that most of the new plans come from referrals we receive from happy existing members.

 

Alan is an avid Bradford Football Club supporter and a keen gardener, his vegetable crop keeps the Society staff well fed throughout the year.

One of our newest recruits, Josh joined the Society in November 2016 from the Financial Services Industry, predominantly in pensions. Working as a Sales Consultant is a new career path for Josh and one that he is extremely excited about. He also mans the ‘sales desk’ for all sales related queries.

 

Josh is also on the road meeting current and potential members, demonstrating the importance of income protection, using his first-hand experiences within his own family to illustrate the impact of not having income protection.

 

If you have any queries in regards to our Group or Rugby Income Protection plans, please do not hesitate to contact Josh.

 

Josh is a major sports fanatic, with his favourites being football, rugby, American football and tennis.

Our longest standing office based member of staff, joining the society in 1993. Deborah liaises with GPs and assists in the approval and underwriting of claims. In addition, she helps manage sickness benefit claim queries.

 

Deborah is an avid reader, enjoys spending time gardening and walking her dog.

Tanya supports the Trowbridge office team. Her roles are varied from new business and member services support to co-ordinating and managing facilities arrangements. She joined the Society in May 2016.

 

Tanya likes to keep fit at the gym and cycling. She also enjoys making arts and crafts. Tanya once sailed across the Atlantic on a homemade catamaran!

Jon’s background is in the Financial Services industry working for Financial institutions.

 

Working with the Society since November 2016, Jon has oversight and control of all aspects of the new business processes.

 

Jon is a sports enthusiast, and when family life allows him to, he enjoys playing golf, football and skiing.

Helen’s background is in the Financial Services industry working for Independent Financial Advisors and large Financial institutions both at branch level as well as head office.  For the majority of her 25 year career, she has managed processes and people, as well as business analysis and project management work.

 

Working with the Society since December 2013, Helen looks after the New Business, Benefit Claims and Member Services functions, within the Society applying her extensive experience to streamline processes and ultimately provide excellent customer service to our members.

 

Helen lives an alternative lifestyle, living on a narrowboat for 12 years and enjoys being part of a colorful, vibrant, boating community.

Sarah has built an excellent oversight of the Society having joined in 2004. In October 2013 her role changed and she now leads and manages both the finance and commercial areas of the business.  Sarah’s team aims to deliver excellent service to our members and intermediaries and they continuously strive to develop and improve processes which will aid Society efficiency. 

 

Sarah is also responsible for providing the Board of Management with the information that they need to make key decisions for the benefit of its members.

 

Sarah enjoys walks on the coast with her scruffy, but loyal, border terrier.

Joined the Society in October 2004, took on the new role of Governance & Compliance Manager in 2013. Lee’s role is focused on Society controls – his key responsibilities are to oversee, manage and implement the Society’s financial services and non-financial services regulatory compliance.

 

Lee enjoys spending time with his family, loves listening to music, travelling & watching sport. He is also an avid runner, who is getting faster with age.

Our technical ‘whizz kid’, Ed ensures that the Society’s technology works day in, day out and that we are using the best IT solutions to meet our operational needs.

 

As the Society develops its strategy into new distribution areas, Ed will develop our systems to ensure members and intermediaries can interact with the Society in a way that suits them. Social Media is here to stay and Ed is implementing the Society’s strategy to use different communication channels to speak to both our existing and potential clients of the future.

 

Outside of work, a new house, a new baby and a passion for following Plymouth Argyle means Ed only has limited time to play with the vast array of technical toys he has accumulated.

Jon has spent all three decades of his working life within financial services. He has worked in Bank, Building Society and Insurance Company environments, latterly in senior sales and operations roles with Eagle Star and AXA.

 

In 2005 he formed his own company providing business consultancy services to predominantly financial services clients - Wiltshire Friendly was one of those clients. He has therefore been working with the Society’s Board of Management for a number of years, developing and implementing the Society’s strategy.

 

In November 2016 Jon took over the role of Chief Executive.

 

Jon is a keen off road cyclist, though more recently has been using his new folding bike to get him to work and keep him fit.
