Our AGM is an important meeting, a chance for the Board to talk to you, as a member of the Society, and for you and your fellow members to talk to us and vote on how the business is run.
This year the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all our lives, both personally and at work. Earlier in the pandemic the Board of Management decided that the AGM, which was originally planned for 16 June 2020 was not viable, as at that time the future implications from the pandemic were very unclear.
We have therefore set a new AGM date of 10 September 2020. We are aiming to stick as close as possible to our usual AGM process, though there will be some changes forced by the pandemic:
- As a member, you will receive your Personal Membership Statement and AGM voting pack by post in mid-August. The voting details will be further clarified in that AGM Voting pack.
- As a member you will not be able to attend the meeting in person, though you will be able to join the meeting online if you register in advance. More details will follow on this in due course.
- The Financial Statements, which summarise the Society’s performance in 2019, are in the process of final completion and will be published on our website by mid-July.
