| HOW MUCH COVER WILL YOU NEED? Generally speaking, your selected benefit, when added to any other insured benefits you will receive when you are off work due to sickness or injury, should be no more than 75% of your normal earnings. The amount of sickness benefit you can expect to receive depends on the number of units of cover you have. One unit of cover provides £6 per week full sickness benefit. So if you want to receive 60 per week benefit, for example, you will need 10 units of cover. The maximum benefit available under Sickness Income Plus is £600 per week, or 100 units of cover. |

| As long as you pay contributions and remain a member, you will be entitled to claim full sickness benefit for the first 52 weeks of incapacity following any agreed deferred period. Thereafter, 50% of the full benefit will be paid until you are able to start earning again, or until you reach retirement age and your membership of the Society ceases. | ||
